Tommy People’s Reel: Tune 10 of 52

We’ve made it to week ten! As a recovering procrastinator, I feel like getting to the double digits is quite the accomplishment. I not only added 10 more tunes to my repertoire but I have so much more confidence in my playing and it has forced me to practice, even on the days I would have likely…well…procrastinated. I’m feeling pretty good and I hope you are too. Thanks for following so far.

This week’s tune is a Donegal tune that I’ve heard throughout the years and always loved. It’s a pretty easy tune in the key of G and a good tune to know for when we all get back to playing in sessions. Here is Tommy People’s Reel:

Thank you to all who have reached out with comments and questions and even tune suggestions. Though we can’t be together to play these tunes, sharing my music with you has made isolation a little less isolating.

Join me next week for tune #11 from A Tune A Week. If you have a tune you’d like me to learn, please leave it in the comments and I’ll put it in the queue.

To get A Tune A Week delivered to your inbox, join the mailing list, if you haven’t already. Just add your email address to the box on the right (I don’t share my email list with anyone). Or join the conversation on our Facebook group and Instagram. You can also subscribe to my Youtube channel and be the first to get the tune of the week as I usually post them a few days before posting them here. Happy playing!
