Christmas Eve: Tune 2 of 52

Now that Thanksgiving is over and December is in full swing, I thought I would relearn the tune Christmas Eve, otherwise known as Tommy Coen’s, named after the fiddler/accordion player who composed it.

I learned this 3-part tune over 10 years ago and have always loved it so I figured I would dust it off and share it with you this week.

I find when I don’t frequently play a tune, I forget the essence of it. I think my brain only has so much room. When I learn a new tune, I lose an old one so every now and again I like to go back and revive them to keep my repertoire fresh.

Here’s my version of Christmas Eve:
