As I get older, I find there is only room for so much information in my brain. There might just be a limit to how many tunes I can remember at any given time. I mean how am I expected to remember a tune I learned years ago when I can’t even remember where I set my coffee down this morning? It seems when I learn one tune, I immediately forget another that I haven’t played in a while.
This is one of those tunes.
The Humours of Lissadell is a reel named after one of the stately homes in Ireland’s County Sligo, from what I’ve heard. It is often played in a set with Sweeney’s Dream which is on the docket for next week.
I guess the best way to remember tunes is to keep playing them. So here goes:
